UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN STUDENTS’ COMPETITION

The University Christian Students’ Essay Competition is an annual contest hosted by Rehoboth Springs Canada Inc. This competition aims to enable Christian students studying in any Canadian higher institution to reflect on how they could make positive impacts that could translate into expanding God’s kingdom through their vocation and life. Students studying at Canadian colleges, polytechnics, and seminaries are welcome to apply.

University Essay Competition

The Rehoboth Springs University Essay Competition runs every year. Two or three winners will each receive a one-time scholarship award of $ 500 to $1,000 for the Fall term.

Scholarship Application Requirements

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

Have reached the age of majority in your province or territory at the time of applying.
Be enrolled full-time at an accredited Canadian university or college (any year and field of study).
Complete and submit the application form on the Rehoboth Springs website.
Provide proof of enrollment: student ID, copy of transcript, or confirmation of enrollment.
Submit a 500-word essay addressing how your faith, values, or community has shaped your academic journey and how you have been giving back to society.

Scholarship Timelines

The scholarship is available every year. The application dates and deadlines are outlined below:

Scholarships will be awarded to two or three qualified candidates, and winners will be notified by email four weeks after the deadline.

Award winners will be announced during the Rehoboth Springs Annual Award celebration or during the second week of August 2025.

What do I stand to gain for participating in the University Christian Students' Competition?

We established this contest in order to challenge and inspire university Christian students studying in any Canadian higher institution to reflect on their lives and career path to see how they could impact their world for God and the ultimate good of humanity. In addition to winning a monetary prize, medals, and souvenirs, adding “award-winning” to your title never hurt anyone!

How can I enter the Competition?

Any student studying full-time in a Canadian institution can participate in the Competition. Students studying outside of Canada CANNOT participate.

Are international students allowed to participate as well?

What is included with my prize if I am the winner?

Winners will be ELIGIBLE to win monetary prizes, medals, and souvenirs.

How will I know if I am the winner?

Someone from Rehoboth Springs will contact you by phone or email before the award event to inform you.

How will I receive my prize if I am the winner?

If you are one of the winners, Rehoboth Springs will present your monetary prize via a cheque or bank draft issued in your name. The name to receive any cash award must be the same name used to register for the competition. Non-cash items will be shipped to the address you provide to Rehoboth Springs for that purpose.
